![]() Check that it is enabled, set to automatic, and running. Scroll down until you find "Windows Audio" towards the bottom of the list. ![]() ![]() Go to Start/Run and type "services.msc" then hit the 'Enter' key (or click 'ok'). Try to pick a date before the problem began. Try using System Restore to get the Registry back to a time before the problem first occurred. In Vista, type 'restore' into the Start menu search box, and System Restore will appear in the start menu. I don't have a single sure fix but can offer some suggestions. If no to both, then this could be a result of one of those Microsoft "updates" that tend to wreck the audio. Does the audio work through the headphones? Did you get any error messages when you reinstalled the Sigmatel driver?
